Why I'm Running for Congress in North Carolina’s 5th District

Too Long, Didn’t Read:
I’m running because Washington has drifted away from the values of responsibility, honesty, and public service. Our district deserves a representative who listens, tells the truth, stands up to both parties when needed, and puts the people of this community ahead of politics. This campaign is about restoring accountability and giving regular citizens their voice back.

Every election year, voters hear a wave of promises. Fix this. Reform that. Hold them accountable. And after the dust settles, Washington goes right back to business as usual. Most people feel ignored, taken for granted, and shut out of decisions that shape their everyday lives.

I’m running for Congress because I believe our district deserves better than that.

For years, I’ve watched the same patterns repeat themselves. Career politicians spend more time protecting their position than protecting the people who sent them there. Real issues get buried under partisan drama. Common sense goes out the window. And hardworking families are left wondering why the people in Washington can’t seem to focus on anything that actually matters.

This district is full of folks who value responsibility, honesty, and service to others. Those are the same values that shaped my life as an entrepreneur and businessman. When something isn’t working, you fix it. When people are counting on you, you show up. And when you make a promise, you keep it.

Congress shouldn’t operate under a different standard.

I’m not running to join a political club. I’m running to represent real people. That means standing up for fiscal responsibility so we’re not drowning our kids in debt. It means protecting Medicare and keeping our commitments to seniors. It means pushing for term limits so no one builds a career out of holding power. And it means refusing to play along with a system that rewards talking points instead of solutions.

Some candidates want to be part of Washington.
I want to change Washington by being accountable to the people back home.

This campaign isn’t about left versus right. It’s about right versus wrong. It’s about remembering that public office is a temporary trust given by the people, not a lifetime entitlement. It’s about restoring the simple idea that elected officials work for you.

I’m running because this district deserves a representative who will listen, tell the truth, and act with the future in mind.

If you believe it’s time to expect more from the people we send to Congress, then I’m asking you to join me. Together, we can return power to the people who built this district and make Washington answer to them again.
